ইকবালুর রহিম জাতীয় সংসদের নেতা। তিনি বলেন, বুলেট ট্রেন ২০২৭ সালের মধ্যে প্রস্তুত হয়ে যাবে। বুলেট ট্রেন চলবে দিনাজপুর-ঢাকা। ইতিমধ্যেই বুলেটের জন্য কাজ শুরু হয়েছে। বুলেট ট্রেন চলবে পাতাল রেল স্টেশনগুলোতে। পাতাল রেল স্টেশনগুলো মাটির নিচে তৈরি করা হয়। শেখ হাসিনা প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছেন ২০২৭ সালের মধ্যে ট্রেনটির কাজ শেষ হবে।

জাতীয় সংসদের নেতা ইকবালুর রহিম শনিবার বলেছেন, দিনাজপুর-ঢাকা রুটে ২০২৭ সালের মধ্যে বুলেট ট্রেন চলবে। তিনি বলেন, পাতাল রেলের নির্মাণ কাজ চলাকালীন বাংলাদেশে এখন মেট্রোরেল চলছে। ঢাকা-চট্টগ্রাম রুটে বুলেট ট্রেনের কাজ দ্রুত এগিয়ে চলছে। আওয়ামী লীগ সরকার ক্ষমতায় ফিরে আসলে ২০২৭ সালের মধ্যে দিনাজপুর-ঢাকা রুটে বুলেট ট্রেন চলবে বলে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নিজেই। ইকবালুর রহিম শনিবার এক অনুষ্ঠানে এসব কথা বলেন। খালেদা জিয়ার আমলে সাংবাদিকদের জন্য কোনো উন্নয়ন কাজ হয়নি। কিন্তু প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা সাংবাদিকদের জন্য ভিন্নভাবে ভাবছেন।
