Comilla has now won the BPL four times. Johnson was the hero of Comilla. The Sher-e-Bangla Stadium was the perfect venue for this great final. From the start, the game was ‘back and forth’. Sylhet chose to bat first. However, their start was very poor. Thanks to captain Mashrafe, they managed to score 176 at the end of their innings. Near the end of the match, Comilla needed 60 from six overs. They still had seven wickets in hand. Comilla played patiently. And they finally won by 7 wickets, and 4 balls left.

Johnson emerged as the hero for Comilla. The West Indian played his heart out. The Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur staged a fascinating encounter overall, worthy of a grand finale. From the onset, the game kept swinging back and forth in the favor of both sides. That is, until the fourth last over of the game. Sent in to bat, Sylhet quickly lost opener Towhid for naught. Their captain Mashrafe quickly fell too, with only 1 run. Sylhet was struggling as the score was 48 for two after seven overs. Najmul and Mushfqur’s partnership brought Sylhet back in the game.
