Morocco won that match 1-0 against South Korea. Benzina wore the hijab for the entire match. Hijabs were banned by FIFA. However, they changed that decision in 2014.

Morocco was expected to lose the match, as South Korea is a much stronger team.

The opposing striker nearly leveled the score, however, she ultimately fell short. The defenders made some crucial interventions which saved the team from some costly goals.
