A team of researchers made ChatGPT give the SSC exam. They used the BGS syllabus from 2020. The team also picked question sets that were the best for ChatGPT. This is fair as students can also pick their question sets. ChatGPT scored 50 marks out of 70 in the first section. In the next section, the bot scored 71 out of 100.

The team wanted to make ChatGPT answer the SSC question paper from 2020. They chose the BGS syllabus of the same year. They used BGS board exam papers. The team also picked the question sets which would be best for ChatGPT. This is fair as students can also pick their question sets. With the recent craze around AI-based ChatGPT and its supposed prowess in academic knowledge, a researcher wanted to test it out in a Bangladeshi setting. ChatGPT is supposedly trained on text that is openly available on the Internet. The researcher thought it would be a great idea to have ChatGPT answer the SSC (Secondary School Certificate) question paper from 2020. They added the Bangladesh and Global Studies (BGS) syllabus of the same year. The researcher could not pick one from later years because of the temporary break for these exams since COVID. To conduct the experiment, they dug up the Dhaka Board BGS question. They also picked the question sets based on what they thought the AI could answer best. This seemed fair as students also pick question sets based on what they know best. The question sets pertained to Bangladesh history, sociology, civics, economics, etc. Once the exam was finished, the paper was sent to a professor at Rajuk Uttara Model College. The AI secured 50 marks out of 70 in the Creative Question section. As for the objective section, the bot scored 71 out of 100. This does not warrant an A+, but the results are still good.
