Salbhi Sumaiya is an artist from Canada who was born in Bangladesh. She painted a painting of a mother wolf and her baby, called “Maternal Instinct“. This painting will be sent to the moon soon. 30 thousand other paintings will be sent to the moon as well. In this way, scientists are trying to save important paintings and music by sending them to the moon.

সালবী সুমাইয়া কানাডার একজন শিল্পী যিনি বাংলাদেশে জন্মগ্রহণ করেছেন। তিনি একটি মা নেকড়ে এবং তার শিশুর একটি চিত্রকর্ম এঁকেছিলেন, যার নাম “ম্যাটারনাল ইনস্টিংক্ট”। শীঘ্রই চাঁদে পাঠানো হবে এই চিত্রকর্ম। পাশাপাশি চাঁদে আরো ৩০ হাজার চিত্রকর্ম পাঠানো হবে। এভাবে চাঁদে পাঠিয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ চিত্রকর্ম ও সঙ্গীত সংরক্ষণের চেষ্টা করছেন বিজ্ঞানীরা।

Samuel Peralta is an art collector from Canada who is leading the effort. He has gathered artwork from 30,000 artists, writers, filmmakers, and musicians. These artists hail from 157 different countries, and the works are divided into a total of four-time capsules. The first is called the Orion Collection, which has already been to space. According to the website, the other three capsules — the Nova Collection, the Peregrine Collection, and the Polaris Collection will land on the moon over the next few years. Apart from “Maternal Instinct”, Lunar Codex will carry “Meraki Studio”, a powerful film that showcases Sumaiya’s artistic vision. Currently based in Toronto, Canada, Sumaiya has majored in Fine Arts from SMUCT, Dhaka.
