Times Higher Education (THE) released another university list. But this list is only for Asian universities. Bangladesh’s Dhaka University and North South University were in the list. DU had the 186th position. NSU had the 192nd position. The list is made of 669 universities from 31 countries in Asia. China had the top two positions.

টাইমস হায়ার এডুকেশন (টিএইচই) আরেকটি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের তালিকা প্রকাশ করেছে। তবে এই তালিকাটি শুধুমাত্র এশিয়ান বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোর জন্য। তালিকায় ছিল বাংলাদেশের ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ও নর্থ সাউথ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। ঢাবির অবস্থান ছিল ১৮৬তম। এনএসইউ এর অবস্থান ছিল ১৯২তম। এশিয়ার ৩১টি দেশের ৬৬৯টি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের তালিকা তৈরি করা হয়েছে। চীনের ছিল শীর্ষ দুই অবস্থান।

Times Higher Education (THE) released another university list. But this list is only for Asian universities. Bangladesh’s Dhaka University and North South University have been included in the best Asian universities list. The list included 669 universities from 31 countries. DU got placed at 186th and NSU at 192nd. However, this means that no Bangladeshi university made it to the top 100. Meanwhile, other well-known universities in Bangladesh such as BUET and KUET got placed between 400 and 500 in the list. Chinese universities have the top one and two positions. These universities had this position for four straight years now. With how Asian universities can be, it is impressive that NSU and DU made it to the top 200 of the list.

টাইমস হায়ার এডুকেশন (টিএইচই) আরেকটি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের তালিকা প্রকাশ করেছে। তবে এই তালিকাটি শুধুমাত্র এশিয়ান বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোর জন্য। এশিয়ার সেরা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের তালিকায় স্থান পেয়েছে বাংলাদেশের ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ও নর্থ সাউথ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। তালিকায় ৩১টি দেশের ৬৬৯টি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় অন্তর্ভুক্ত রয়েছে। ঢাবি ১৮৬তম এবং এনএসইউ ১৯২তম স্থান পেয়েছে। তবে এর মানে বাংলাদেশের কোনো বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় শীর্ষ ১০০ তে জায়গা করেনি।

Bangladesh’s Dhaka University and North South University have been ranked in the best 200 Asian universities for the first time in THE rankings. The list included 669 universities from 31 territories. DU got placed at 186th and NSU at 192nd. However, this does mean that no Bangladeshi university made it into the top 100 of the list. DU advanced from the 251-300 band compared to the previous year. NSU on the other hand made its debut in the rankings, having not been ranked last year. Meanwhile, other reputable universities in Bangladesh such as BUET and KUET placed between 401 and 500 in the Asian rankings. The Asian list employed the same 13 performance metrics as the World University list. However, there were some adjustments to account for the unique characteristics of Asia’s institutions. The evaluations for these universities included teaching, research, knowledge dissemination, and global perspective. For the fourth consecutive year, China’s Tsinghua University and Peking University secure the top two spots. All things considered, the inclusion and increment in rankings show that Bangladeshi universities are evolving. This will ensure young people stay in the country for university.
