দেশের প্রথম এক্সপ্রেসওয়ে উন্মুক্ত করলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা। এক্সপ্রেসওয়ে দেশের চারপাশে চলাচলকে আরও দ্রুত করে তুলবে। ভিডিও কলের মাধ্যমে এক্সপ্রেসওয়ের উন্মুক্ত করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। ভ্রমণের সময় কমাতেই তৈরি করা হয়েছিল এক্সপ্রেসওয়ে। দক্ষিণ জেলাগুলোর মানুষও আরো আরামদায়ক যাত্রা করতে পারবেন। এক্সপ্রেসওয়েতে পাঁচটি ফ্লাইওভার, ২৫টি সেতু এবং চারটি প্রধান সেতু রয়েছে।

দেশের প্রথম এক্সপ্রেসওয়ে উন্মুক্ত করলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা। এক্সপ্রেসওয়ে হবে যাত্রাবাড়ী-মাওয়া রুটে। এতে করে সারাদেশে পরিবহন অনেক দ্রুত হবে। একটি ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে এক্সপ্রেসওয়েটি উন্মুক্ত করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। এক্সপ্রেসওয়েতে চার লেনের এক্সপ্রেসওয়ে থাকবে। এটি ভ্রমণের সময় কমাতে তৈরি করা হয়েছিল। দক্ষিণ জেলার মানুষও আরও আরামদায়ক যাত্রা করতে পারবেন।

The 55 km long expressway will have a four-lane main expressway and four service lanes for low-speed vehicles. It was constructed to reduce travel time and ensure a smooth and comfortable journey of the people of south-western districts. According to project details, the expressway has five flyovers, four railway overpasses, 25 bridges, and four main bridges. These will contribute to the national economy by boosting trade and commerce. The 25 bridges were constructed in the Khulna-Barisal-Gopalganj zone. It has two parts stretching 35 km from the Jatrabari intersection to Mawa and 20 km from Patchchar to Bhanga. The expressway is expected to contribute significantly to the overall development of the entire Khulna and Barisal divisions and a part of the Dhaka division. People from 22 districts will benefit from this expressway. These will include six districts in the Barisal division, 10 districts in the Khulna division, and six districts in the Dhaka division. The two parts of the modern expressway will be connected through the 6.15km Padma Bridge.

যাত্রাবাড়ী-মাওয়া রুটে যান চলাচলের জন্য দেশের প্রথম এক্সপ্রেসওয়ে উদ্বোধন করেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা। এটি যোগাযোগ খাতে এক নতুন যুগের সূচনা করবে। প্রধানমন্ত্রী তার গণভবন থেকে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে নবনির্মিত এক্সপ্রেসওয়ে উন্মুক্ত করেন। ৫৫ কিলোমিটার দীর্ঘ এক্সপ্রেসওয়েতে একটি চার লেন বিশিষ্ট প্রধান এক্সপ্রেসওয়ে এবং কম গতির যানবাহনের জন্য চারটি সার্ভিস লেন থাকবে। এটি ভ্রমণের সময় কমাতে এবং দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিমাঞ্চলের জনগণের একটি মসৃণ এবং আরামদায়ক যাত্রা নিশ্চিত করার জন্য নির্মিত হয়েছিল। প্রকল্পের বিবরণ অনুসারে, এক্সপ্রেসওয়েতে পাঁচটি ফ্লাইওভার, চারটি রেলওয়ে ওভারপাস, ২৫টি সেতু এবং চারটি প্রধান সেতু রয়েছে।
