Adib Ahnaf Chowdhury is a 14-year-old student from Scholastica School in Mirpur, Bangladesh. He got first place in the World Game Coding Competition 2024. The event was organized by the ‘International Kids Coding Competition’ (IKCC) toward the start of the year (বছরের শুরুর দিকে). It is one of the largest ‘Scratch’ coding competitions in the world. Scratch is a high-level coding language.
Children send in their projects using Scratch. Adib’s project was called ‘Planes!’. It was created using Scratch 3.0 Language. A total of 917 people took part in the competition. They were from 787 schools across 52 countries. Adib got first place in the age group of 13 to 14. The future is bright for this young coder!

Adib Ahnaf Chowdhury is a 14-year-old student from Scholastica School in Mirpur, Bangladesh. He has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the top position in the World Game Coding Competition 2024. The event was organized by the International Kids Coding Competition (IKCC) toward the start of the year. It was initiated by the Romanian organization ‘Asociatia SASORYCODE’. It is one of the largest ‘Scratch’ coding competitions in the world. Adib’s project, titled ‘Planes!’ was created using Scratch 3.0 Language. A total of 917 competitors participated in the competition. They were from 787 schools across 52 countries.
Among them, Adib clinched the top position in the age group of 13 to 14. Children from diverse backgrounds participate by submitting their projects created in Scratch. Throughout the year, IKCC hosts competitions on various themes. This is done in order to enhance children’s programming skills through game development, storytelling, or animation creation. Ultimately IKCC serves as a catalyst for nurturing creativity and unleashing the imagination of young minds worldwide. Thanks to this year’s rendition of the event, Bangladesh was able to find a bright shining spot in Adib. Learning to code from a very young age accelerates the development of their skills.
