The Phuket 100 km Marathon was held in Thailand. Imamur Rahman was the only runner from Bangladesh. He completed the 100 kilometer run. After finishing his run, Imamur shared some of his thoughts. It was a very hot day. The temperature was almost 40 degrees. But Imamur still finished the race. He then raised the flag of Bangladesh.

The Phuket 100 km Marathon was held in Thailand on March 2. Imamur Rahman was the only runner for Bangladesh. He completed the run in the 100 km category. It took him 16 hours 55 minutes and 53 seconds. More than 560 runners from 22 countries took part in 100 km and 60 km runs. After finishing his run, Imamur shared some of his thoughts.
The running track was next to the sea. As it was a very hot day, the temperature was 38-39 degrees centigrade. Still, he felt good about completing the run. It was a matter of pride to raise the flag of Bangladesh on foreign land. He raised the flag at the finish line, after finishing the race.

The Phuket 100 km Ultra Marathon was held in Phuket, Thailand on March 2. Imamur Rahman was the only participant from Bangladesh. He completed the run in the 100 km ultra category in 16 hours 55 minutes and 53 seconds. More than 560 runners from 22 countries participated in 100 km and 60 km categories. After finishing his run, Imamur shared some of his thoughts with the press. As the running track was next to the sea, the humidity was high and the temperature that day was 38-39 degrees centigrade. Still, he felt good about completing the run.
He also stated that it was indeed a matter of pride to raise the flag of Bangladesh on foreign land. He did not succumb to the extreme hot and humid weather this year’s March had. He successfully raised the national flag at the finish line. Imamur completed the Vietnam Ultra Trail and Portugal Super Half Series last year. This year he completed the Bangabandhu Dhaka Marathon on January 26. The youngster is gearing up to represent his country in more ultra and ultra trail marathons in the future. He has become a symbol of inspiration for aspiring runners of Bangladesh.
